Some facts on the Kangaroo In the semi arid regions kangaroos are not seen that often there just arn't that many of them- there is not enough for them to eat all year round. Most are nocturnal and most likely chance of seeing them is at dusk or dawn. Female usually sucking a joey outside the pouch and another inside the pouch which also contains an embryo. They have an acute sense of smell, reputed to smell water from 2km away.
